                    Matthew Murray

                    Matthew Murray is Choral Director and Guitar, Piano  and Music Theory Teacher at Gorham High School in Gorham, Maine.  Prior to his arrival at Gorham High School he spent 11 years at Kennebunk High School.   

                    Mr. Murray holds a B.M. in Music Education with a voice major and trumpet minor from the University of Maine under the tutelage of Dr. Dennis Cox.  He also holds a M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Maine under Dr. Robert Russell. 

                    In addition to his duties with TCCC and at GHS, Mr. Murray is the Choral Director at the Southern Maine String Academy and has served in the same capacity at the Southern Maine Junior High Music Academy.  He has served two stints as  the Maine Music Educators Association (MMEA) District I Chairperson.   Mr. Murray has been honored to conduct several district and regional sixth grade, middle school, and high school honors choirs in Maine and New Hampshire.  Mr. Murray regularly serves as Choral Manager for the MMEA District I High School Music Festival. 

                    Mr. Murray is a native of Greenville, Maine and currently resides in Scarborough with his wife, Catherine who is Director of Vocal Music at Thornton Academy and their two children.
